The booking link you put on Instagram

“DM us for a slot” is a queue of messages. The bio should open times: the client taps Book, picks a slot and, if there is a deposit, pays. You stay in the shop, not in the chat.

Chat: WhatsApp bot · Deposit: collect upfront payment · Industry: salons

Profile mockup. Not Meta’s API. The button opens your Booksolut calendar.

What should not happen

Instagram is not your receptionist

The algorithm brings people. The bio must close the booking. If the destination is a chat, every like is extra work.

Bio: “DM us”

That is a queue of DMs. Every new story adds messages. You become the algorithm’s receptionist.

Linktree that ends in WhatsApp

Five pretty buttons and the appointment is still a chat. The link must open times, not another “hi”.

Marketplace in the middle

If the Book button opens Booksy or Fresha, the client sees other shops. Your Instagram pays for their showroom.

One URL

Bio, Maps and WhatsApp: the same calendar

You do not need a mini Instagram app. You need “Book” to stop being a euphemism for “message me”.

1

Set up the shop calendar

Services, duration, staff and MercadoPago. The trial does not ask for a card.

2

Copy the public link

It is the business booking page. One URL. Not a five-button menu that ends in WhatsApp.

3

Paste it in the Instagram bio

Replace “DM us for a slot”. The text can be “Book here”. The destination is the calendar, not a DM.

4

The client picks a slot and, if required, pays the deposit

Real time. Confirmation. Saturday stops being negotiated in fourteen back-and-forth messages.

What the link includes

The booking Instagram cannot do

One link, every channel

Bio, stories, Google, WhatsApp welcome message. Same calendar. Not three systems.

Pick a professional

Stylist, barber or staff member with their own slots. Instagram does not need to know who is free: the calendar does.

Deposit from the bio

If Saturday requires upfront payment, MercadoPago collects at booking. Deposit policy lives on Collect deposit.

No competitor showcase

The client does not land on a marketplace. They book on your brand.

Looks good on mobile

A booking page built for the thumb coming from Instagram, not a desktop admin panel.

Reminder afterward

The WhatsApp alert goes out once the appointment exists. First close the booking; then remind.

A real case

Hex Barbería: the own link already gets clicks

The Hex Barbería public page shows up in Search Console with organic visits. That is a shop booking page, not a directory. The same URL type goes in the bio.

Other intents

Instagram is not the whole product

If the pain is chat or no-shows, those URLs are different.

Questions about the bio

Does this replace the WhatsApp bot?

No. They are different channels. Instagram sends people to the booking link. WhatsApp can book in chat. The reservation is the same: one calendar, one deposit. The bot has its own landing page.

Do I need Linktree or many buttons?

Not for appointments. One link that opens the calendar is enough. Linktree works for menu, address and catalog; the booking must end on a real time slot, not another “message us”.

Does the client need an Instagram account to book?

No. They tap the bio link (or story sticker, or contact button) and book in the browser. They can go back to Instagram afterward. You do not depend on the algorithm to confirm Saturday.

Does the same link work on Google Maps?

Yes. Instagram bio, website, WhatsApp Business welcome message and Google profile: one booking URL. Hex Barbería already gets visits to its public page.

Do Booksy or Fresha not do this?

They give you a link, but the client often lands on a marketplace where they see competitors, or you pay commission. Here the link is yours. Compare pages vs Booksy and vs Fresha are under Compare.

Can I put the link in stories and reels?

Yes, if your account has link stickers or if the bio is the only destination. The rule: every “book now” points to the same calendar, not a DM.

What if they still write in DMs?

Reply with the link. The first week is hard. After that, people who want a slot know the bio books. Those who insist on chat can go to the WhatsApp bot.

Is there a commission on a client from Instagram?

Not from Booksolut. It is your audience. Flat subscription. MercadoPago charges its fee if there is a deposit.
